damn so good 😊
I absolutely love Deans! They have the best breakfast in town and have extremely generous portions.
Dean's is a reliable, friendly spot for breakfasts and lunches. The shopworn appearance of the interior belies their wide range of well-prepared omelettes and other breakfast fare.
Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices, a Pleasanton classic.
Best omelet I've ever had! portions are very big. I barely finished mine and it held me over for the day. very small town home style restaurant feel. I will definitely be coming back in the near future.
Nice local Cafe.Team from work used to go there quarterly.Good menu decent prices.
One of the best breakfast places in pleasanton. Enormous list of omlet
Been eating at Dean's for a very long time. Last few visits have been less than spectacular. Great food, but waiting 30 minutes for an omelette and a waffle is kinda crazy.
Best omelets in town. Closed by health department because landlord wouldn't maintain sewers!
Good/bad news: great liver & onion omelet. Soggy hash browns and weak coffee.
Great restaurant! Good food and super service. We drive 30mi. to enjoy this cozy place. Enjoy this place often.
This place was awesome! Food was great with friendly service. We are not from the area but will definitely go back next time we are here.
I come here for the waffles. They are delish! This place is typically packed on a weekend so be prepared to wait a little bit.
i have been going to deans for alot of years never had a bad meal and service has always been good
Glad I didn't read reviews before going. Large portions great food. No complaints with service. Real nice people.
Flew up to look at a car. Stopped for breakfast. No disappointments here.
The food is always good and service is great just a nice old timey feel
Good food, however the price is very high compared to other places in the area for breakfast. Also, the restaurant is very shabby, in need of renovation, and had the odd smell of urine in the front waiting area.
Big portion. Friendly service. Good food.
Very slow and inattentive service. Food is mediocre. But portions are huge and probably the cheapest breakfast eats in Pleasanton. It has the old diner feel, but borderline decrepit.
Excellent hole in the wall restaurant! Service and food quality great! I ordered eggs and the Portuguese sausage the sausage was cooked perfectly, sliced thin and a little bit crispy. The eggs I ordered over medium and they were perfect. Coffee was very smooth. The owner and staff were very friendly. Overall a pleasant experience!
Affordable, fresh food awesome service and family friendly.
Really good old fashioned breakfast place in an old small downtown area. Huge omelet menu with very good food. My only complaint is that on a hot day the a/c was not on if they had any that worked. If you are in the area go there.
Place has been here for over 50 years I believe, not surprised. The food is fresh, huge portions and service is great.
Always a great breakfast. Service is always tip top!
I love this place! The French toast with a side of sausage is my usual go to. Today, I got the Cook's special, which included eggs, sausage and French toast. So, I got my go to AND eggs! I have never been disappointed with my breakfast. I have only gone their for breakfast though. Their omlettes are fantastic too! My friend got the International omlette with liver. I was skeptical at first, but it was yummy!!If you are a fan of all things breakfast, like I am, stop by Dean's. The food is awesome, prices are reasonable, and the portions are super generous.
Solid service... nice local place with extensive mix and match of omelette types.
This is definitely the place to go if you want a huge omelette of any possible flavor. The eggs Benedict are also quite good. The diner is small so there is usually a wait especially for brunch on weekends. This is a place everyone should experience at least once. Good place to take visiting friends or family for a nice breakfast.
We had breakfast this morning and it was perfect. A lot of food! Dem belly full. Friendly service.
Nothing , service was awful , tables were greasy. Very over priced . Food was awful ! ! Better places to eat in town .
The food is just awful. The eggs are runny and gross. The portions are large, but who cares when the quality of the food is so poor? Vic's down the street is a thousand times better. Also, the server (I think he was the owner?) was really unfriendly and spent the entire time (even while serving me) chit chatting with the staff.
Is this place ever open? Has odd hours. Finally able to go once and not worth it.
Good home cooked food. Large portions. Well worth the time and price
If you have a problem making decisions avoid this place. There is a plethora of omelette options, they also have regular breakfast items as well but they're definitely an omelette place.
I saw a retired couple split a huge omelet and fresh-baked rolls while they discussed how they were going to navigate their Yosemite trip in the fall. I found myself wanting to do all that with my wife in Dean's Cafe every day.Midwesterners and those from more agrarian areas will truly feel at home. Timeless place. Love it.
Good food friendly service, but it does need a little update on some of the seating. Maybe a little remodeling?
Huge omelets ... of every single kind you want or can think of. Portions are generous. Attentive service and my order was served promptly. The décor is very dated and it has the feel of a trucker's roadside stop. The breakfast crowd during the week is strictly middle-aged men -- so if you're looking for a family-friendly or couple-friendly setting, this is definitely not for you.
My family has two spots for food. This first one was Banchero's (RIP), and Dean's cafe. I can't say anything about this place. Best omelettes I've ever had. Hundreds of combinations. And yes, you could get a clam avacado swiss omellete if you want.
Great breakfast spot if you want an omelette. Great food and love the trivia questions on the table!
Outdated... but charmingly "old school... difficult to compete with other eateries with outdoor dining
No frills here! But if you like omelettes you found the spot! Big portions and friendly staff
Great waffles as well as anything you can think of omelet
Staff are amazing. And love the omelettes.
A favorite breakfast place of mine for twenty years. Great omlets. Place looks run down
Been coming here off and on for years. Food is good staff is friendly.. But service is slow busy or not and it always has been.
If you love omelette, this is the place to go. Lots of selections for protein, large portion, food is delicious.
The food here is good and they give you huge portions. They have every omelette combination you can think of.
Very good food! Excellent service, per usual ,always a family friendly spot to eat...
Good home made omelet have hearts! Love it! Good service too!
